This week we emphasized the importance of kindness, which aligns with our school-wide expectations of Be Respectful, Be Kind and Be Honest. Thanks to our leadership students, for planning our first spirit week of the 2022 calendar year, as well many activities throughout lunches, Panther Block and around the building. Check them out!

National School Counseling Week 2022, "Better Together," was celebrated from February 7-11 to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within our school systems.  National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. We were delighted to honor our Stone Middle School school counselors this week for all of their hard work and dedication.

Stone Student Services has implemented a Student of the Month recognition program where students who have exemplified characteristics of respect, kindness, honesty and/or academic excellence over each month will be congratulated on the Panther News show and will receive a certificate and magnet for their recognition.

We were very excited to welcome Remona Antoine for our 5th segment of our Speaker Series. Ms. Antoine Remona is a former US government official and church leader that lives in our area. She has fourteen years of experience in government and contract experience working on a variety of complex national security issues. She shared a powerful message of hope and the importance of a growth mindset.

We had a fun and festive week at Stone as we counted down the days before Winter Break! We will see everyone when we return on January 3, 2022! Happy Holiday!

We had the pleasure of having Pastor Kore join us for our 4th segment of our Speaker Series. Mr. Bendix is a tremendous asset to our Stone community and shared part of his journey of having a stutter and how he overcame his challenges to where he now is a public speaker for a living. We are grateful for his timely message of hope, inclusion and acceptance and thank he and his team for all they do to give back to our school.
