December 18, 2021

We concluded this last school week of December and 2021 with a lot of holiday cheer. Our leadership students provided some fun and sweet treats to our staff as part of their “Sleigh Ride Delivery. Our choral students performed for our staff during an after-school staff meeting. We thank our FCPS Ignite Business Partner, Grace Covenant, for lunch on Tuesday. We are so grateful to our very generous PTA for the gift cards they provided to our staff as well. Finally, our students and staff enjoyed a Holiday Sweater competition.

Staff Meeting - Kickoff to Holiday Cheer Week

We kicked off Holiday Cheer week at our afterschool Staff Meeting on Monday where we enjoyed a chorus performance from Mr. Quinlan's students, a Wellness activity led by our PD Department, learned of some quick and easy strategies to support our EL students, and looked back at all of wonderful things that took place at Stone so far this year.

"Sleigh Eats"

Mrs. Neun's 1st Period Leadership Class decorated carts and visited classrooms on Tuesday morning to deliver donuts to our amazing staff.

Winter Door Decorating Contest

Mr. Gueltig's Rethinking Schools Club challenged 1st and 2nd period classes to decorate around their door in a winter theme. Doors were judged by our admin team and winners will be announced on our Panther News show.

1st Place: Mrs. Richmond

2nd Place: Mrs. Johnson

3rd Place. Ms. Sgrecci

Cookie Decorating

More holiday cheer…this time from our FACs students! A lot of cookie making and decorating & hot chocolate for staff and students. Thanks to Ms. Egbers & her students for all their work to make this week a little brighter!
