black historyStone Honors Black History Month

Here is your quote today by Nelson Mandela, famous former president and anti-apartheid leader of South Africa:

  • “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” -Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was a man who made it his life’s mission to fight for freedom of not only himself, but others. Do you feel called to make a difference in the lives of others? It does not have to be something big. What can you do today that helps others to feel free, heard, and accepted?

  • “Whatever we believe about ourselves and our ability comes true for us.” -Susan L. Taylor

What are the thoughts that you have about yourself? Are they generally positive or negative? Confidence is a feeling of self-assuredness that you can do whatever you put your mind to do. Our thoughts create our reality and how we look at ourselves determines how we show up in the world. Today’s quote from Susan L. Taylor speaks this truth.

Spend today believing in your worth and in your gifts and over time, you will see the amazing results that happen.

  • “Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.” -Dr. Mae Jemison

What kind of people do you surround yourself with on a daily basis? Are they people who encourage and uplift you and your dreams or are they people who are naysayers and do not believe your dreams are possible? It is important to really take time to evaluate the biggest influences in our lives and strive to be around people who cheer us on. Despite what others may tell you, know that anything is possible with the right mindset. Today’s quote is from American Engineer, Dr. Mae Jemision and the first Black woman to travel into space.

When someone tells you that you cannot do something or tries to limit you, show them that you are more than capable of doing great things in this world.
