Congratulations to the Stone Middle School website and school website administrator Alison Costanza. The Stone MS Elementary website was recognized as one of three FCPS elementary school websites to be recognized as Best of the Web during a 2020 presentation held on January 15th.

The Best of the Web Awards annually recognizes three elementary schools, one middle school, one secondary or high school, and one special center or academy.

The Stone MS website received acclaim for its Schoology template page, 2020-21 School Year page and Virtual Learning pages, and its Portrait of a Panther feature.

As we have relied on digital communication so much more this year as a result of the pandemic, we feel it is important our students and families can receive updates in a timely manner in one place. At Stone, we have tried to utilize the various features to not only disseminate pertinent information but to highlight our student and staff contributions. We feel it is so important to celebrate the many successes, especially during this time where we aren’t able to physically see one another. - Principal Meredith Norris

Organized by the FCPS Office of Communication and Community Relations, the Best of the Web Awards celebrate schools that create excellent websites to inform and engage readers. The winners remind us of the substantial talent that exists among the community of FCPS school web curators.
