Applying some creative and critical thinking skills, 8^th grade students had the opportunity to test their engineering skills this week in round two of an egg drop capsule design.  The goal was to protect the egg by building a capsule with the least mass possible.  To accomplish this, students had to consider ways to lessen the force of impact and / or slow the fall (due to gravity’s pull) using friction.  While some eggs perished, many survived!  8^th graders are amazing!
