Hello Stone Panther Families,

We are just a couple of days from the end of the quarter. It is a critical time for students to complete any outstanding assignments . Your support as caregivers is greatly appreciated.

Please note that the gradebook in ParentVUE and StudentVUE will not be available from Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. until Monday, February 5, 2024 at 6:00 a.m. as grades and report cards are being verified. Weekly progress reports will also not be sent during this time. Report cards will be sent home and made available in ParentVUE on Monday, February 5

Second semester schedules will be available in the app on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 4:00 p.m..

As the winter season is upon us, we want to remind everyone to be prepared for the potential winter related challenges. In the event of inclement weather, we will keep you informed of any closures, early releases and/or delays through our usual communication channels. Please encourage your student to dress appropriately for the weather and commuting to and from school.

Additionally, we have noticed an increase in family vacations causing students to miss numerous school days. Please  know that this has an impact on students' ability to complete work and ultimately their academic grades in the class.  We  have also noticed that students are testing the limits with their cell phones and airpods being out and used during the school day. As a reminder, FCPS policy for middle school students is that their phones and airpods are away for the school day.

Lastly, as we finish up the quarter, we have a large amount of items in our lost and found. Please take a look on our social media accounts to see if something looks familiar. All remaining items will be donated to a local charity or elementary school on Friday January 26th.

Let’s have a great week Panthers!

📚Academic Advising 2024-2025

Rising 7th-12th grade students will soon be discussing course selection for next year with their school counselors. Parents/caregivers should discuss this process with their children to ensure students select courses that align with their interests, career goals, and postsecondary aspirations.

As they choose courses, students should also consider their personal well-being, as well as extracurricular activities and commitments. School-life balance is an important consideration. Parents/caregivers are welcome to contact their student’s school counselor with questions.

Review the Graduation Requirements and Course Planning webpage to help make informed decisions for high school and beyond. Refer to our school-specific course catalog and advising information
