The National Junior Honor Society Pinning Ceremony is today after school.  Students applied to be members of the NJHS in the fall.  The 5 pillars of the NJHS are scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character. Students have worked on service projects throughout the year to help our school and organizations that we support.  They have done 2 food drives for the WFCM, the Walk to End Hunger to support the WFCM, a personal items drive for the VFW, 2 clean ups at the VFW Post, helped out Stone teachers, yard work around Stone, and tutored their peers. To become full members of the NJHS and be pinned, students needed to maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher and complete at least 5 NJHS Service Hours during the year. Congratulations to all of our members who worked hard this year doing service for the school and community and excelling academically.
